Is it really over??

So I have this wierd feeling next monday i'm going to wake up..brush my teeth...put some clothes on..and make my way to school, half way there realizing we don't have class anymore!!! I can't believe it flew by so fast!!! Not only this class, but the entire month of June!!! Where did it go???? I can only pray that the rest of summer doesn't fly by as quick!!! I am SO happy I enrolled in this class and got to know so much about blogging. Before this class I had no idea where to even start a blog! Now I just need a class to help me figure out Twitter!! haha! Well my friends, it's been fun!! I will continue to blog so feel absolutly free to keep following my oh so interesting life (not) haha. Wow I can't believe I got the last spot for the MCOMM NYC trip this fall break!!! I'm so pumped!!!!! It is with Dr. Nelson which I have heard nothing but good things about! I am so happy that little miss Tandra told me she was going to go today in class because I didn't want to go and not know anyone:/ So I have dotted my i's and crossed my t's and am on the list to go!! How exciting!! I hope it is not only informative but very fun. It seems as if we have a lot of free time also so that will be awesome to see a bit of the city!!! I haven't been since I lived on the east coast, which has been about 11 years! WOOHOO can't wait!!!

Yogalates??

Well I am having some trouble moving today because yesterday I thought it'd be a great idea to do yogo...directly followed by pilates! I LOVE yoga ..and I LOVE pilates....but what a HORRIBLE idea to do them both in the same night!! OUUUUCCHHH!!!! I did yoga first and then pilates..which I should have done in the opposite order because yoga relaxes me SO much...but by doing pilates last I just couldn't move and my muscles were just shaking! So now I know for next time to split them up every other night...but if I am feeling crazy again like last night...do pilates first!!!! hahah

IT WORKED

My Mom and Dad on my mom's birthday before we went out:):):) I LOVE THEM

The surprise worked out PERFECTLY! I called my mom at about the time i'd be getting off work, which worked out perfectly because I was pulling into the neighborhood at the same time! My Dad was walking out the back door and I told her to tell dad to open the gate..without thinking about she was like "okay"..then she said...wait...how do you know....omg....are you here?!?!?! Then they both came running out of the gate and hugged me!! They were SO excited!!! So we went and got chinese food and hung out all night. The next night we went to an awesome Italian restaraunt named "Josephines" and an amazing meal and a ton of wine later we went to a bar together! It was such a fun time...the bar is an Irish pub (Coincidence because my dad is Italian and mom is Irish) but the night was a BLAST!!!! The next day for fathers day we layed by the pool all day and then had a cook out....basically a PERFECT weekend!!! couldn't have asked for a better time!!!

On the road again....

So here's my post for the day...from home...in TX...I just felt too bad trying to leave yesterday on Father's day..woulda broke my heart :( So I am about to get on the road here in a few minutes...I have made the drive so many time's it is no big deal anymore...but would still be nice if I had a teleport!! haha...I had an AMAZING weekend and wish I could have made it last longer but oh well. My mom had a great birthday and my dad had a fabulous fathers day! I get to come home again for the 4th of July..which is in no time at all so I can not sit here and be sad i'm leaving, Ijust have to think about how soon i'll be back!!!!!

Someone put me in a bubble!

So as most of you know, I started an oven fire the other night....well yesterday I locked my keys AND my cell phone in my car... I had to walk into the closest business, which was either chik-f-le or TJMaxx..it was lunch time so I figured i'd get more help at TJ Maxx...so I called AAA and AN HOUR later..they show up and take two seconds to ghetto rig my door unlocked.(BTW they told me it'd take 20 min.) So here I am sitting on the bumper of my car...sweating profusely, not knowing what time it is, thinking i've been waiting for hours...AND an hour late for work!!! someone PLEASE give me a bubble I can live in and just have everything I need inside!!!

Home Alone

These people were realizing everytime they left the house and came home there was water all over their patio and back yard and had no clue why...so they decided to set up a hidden camera and this is what they caught!!!! Halarious!

BURNIN' DOWN THE HOUSE

SO....last night I started a small oven fire..... the first fire I have started in the 4 years of living on my own...

It all started when I remembered I had leftover pizza from Monday night in my fridge. I got home, turned on the oven waited for it to preheat then stuck a couple pieces on the top rack to re heat. I left them in there for about 8 minutes then went to grab them out. When I took one piece out, the bottom point of it hit the other piece and knocked it down to the bottom burner...then BAM ..FLAME! I somehow managed to keep myself calm (NO clue how) and turned off the oven, grabbed the slice of pizza out...tossed it from the oven into my sink, grabbed a kitchen towel and started hitting out the flame....so after my heart is about to beat out of my chest, my hands are shaking uncontrollably...there is smoke everywhere....the fire was out!!! I saved my life and my poor ovens life!!!

(but i kind of wish some cute fire men had to come over and help ;)


BUT I LIVE TO WRITE ABOUT IT THANK YOU JESUS!

SURPRISE!

So this weekend coming up is my mom's birthday AND fathers day! SOOO i'm driving home to Dallas and surprising them!!!!! I really hope they have nothing planned already or I don't ruin some romantic weekend they're having (gross). I kind of want to tell them that I bought them dinner and got them reservations at their favorite mexican restaurant and then just be sitting at a table waiting for them!! I have lived away from home for 4 years and never once have surprised them! I'm getting very excited!!! Give me some ideas on how to make it the best!!!!!!

MY JEEP HATES THE RAIN

So I was having a girls night and having a blast..not even realizing that it had started raining again...well my jeep HATES the rain and I have spun out so many times...all it takes is one little puddle. So needless to say, I am terrified to drive when it's raining like it is today/tonight! So here I am stranded at a girlfriends house getting made fun of because I wont drive in the rain! Sweeeeettt!!!

Wus Hanenin??

(that means whats happening BTW) I woke up to my windows shaking from the thunder!!! My power must have gone out too because my oven and microwave are blinking!! I guess I should turn on the news but I kind of like not knowing, just being in suspense of what will happen next:) SO if anyone wants to let me know if I should take cover or something tell me because i'm going to boycott the news...simply because the news casters are dramatic and freak me out!!! LOL i'm sitting on my amazing new chaise eating some cereal and watching the rain:) Perfect if you ask me! Now all I need is a few great movies and my day will be complete.

I had plans to lay out with my girlfriend after class today....i'm gonna take a wild guess and say thats not "hanenin" ANYWAYS I declare today national movie/make cookies/stay in your pj's all day DAY! I love it!!

I moved in to my new apartment about 5 months ago and love it SO much..it is brand new, never been lived in before me, and so pretty..and all MINE! I just got new bedding last week AND I ordered that zebra chaise last month from Mathis Bro's and it FINALLY came in!!! It came in two boxes and I had to figure out how to put it together but it is so awesome!!!! Sorry the pictures are via my cell phone so they're terrible...but check it out!!!! I'm pumped:)

Where is this summer going??

WOW can you believe it is already mid June?? Our class only has 8 days left of it! Where in the world is this summer going and whyy is it going so fast?? I just want time to slow down a little and the clouds to move out of the way a little more...is that too much to ask?!? BTW does anyone have any good and easy recipes? I feel like cooking tonight!!!! I am feeling SO much better today!! I am so happy too because it is two of my best friends birthdays this weekend!! I still am pretty snotty and sneezy but my energy and appetite is finally coming back!! Thank goodness! So my best friends birthday is Saturday and her gift hasnt come in the mail yet...UH OH....I am crossing my fingers it comes tomorrow!!!! lets pray for a miracle!!! haha or else I officially get the worst best friend award! haha! Did I miss anything in class? Any assignments I should work on?

So this is what I get for always being the girl who says "Man, i NEVER get sick!!" wow..talk about jinxing yourself! Anyways...I had to get a shot in my butt today...a lot better than taking antibiotics for ten days. And the nurse gave me a Tazmanian Devil bandaid...always good to know you look young enough to still want a cartoon bandaid!! I'm feeling a lot better but all I want to do is sleep...which I guess is my bodies way of telling me to chill out and stop trying to do 1000 things in a day! I dont know if i'll be making it to class in the morning:/ i'll have to make an executive decision when I wake up...I hate being miserable in class like I was today! Embarrassing!! It's also pretty gross when im constantly sneezing and sniffling and wiping my noes:( haha well im off to eat some soup and hit the sack!! Goodnight bloggers:)

So, Rocco has the best personality, he's really like a little kid. Every time he doesn't like something he acts like he is really embarrassed. The other night, I finally got a picture of what he does when he gets embarrassed it is the cutest thing I have EVER seen!!!! hahaha awww Rocco

OKC Bombing

I am not an Oklahoma native nor do I know too many details about the Oklahoma City bombing. The year the bombing happened I was living in Maryland and did not have a clue about what or where Oklahoma even was. But since I have moved here for school I have gone and seen the memorial....and wow. That is all I have to say. For knowing nothing about it and no one personally affected by it, it is still one of the most emotional things I have every seen. It is so amazingly memorialized and so informational. I learned so much about it and really felt for all of the families who suffered a loss as a cause of it. The memorial is so beautiful and well done it is truly amazing. I was overwhelmed with emotion when walking through, seeing the faces of the victims. If any of you have not seen it, it is SO worth it! It is so impacting and shows how much Oklahoma has not forgotten about that horrid day! GOD BLESS:)

Don't let your dog eat a frisbee

Today started out like any day...Rocco woke me up to take care of some business outside...but today I fell back asleep....when I woke up...I notice his favorite frisbee was now only half of a frisbee. Before I know it Rocco is out on my balcony throwing little chunks of green frisbee up. The only bad thing is I live on the second floor of an apartment, therefore ALL of the throw up went through my balcony and straight onto the porch of the guy that lives below me....whoops... So at 8:30 I walk down stairs, knock on my neighbors door and say....ya..im sure you saw...i'm sorry my dog ate a frisbee for breakfast..but dont worry i'll clean it up...so I did.... so much for a peaceful Sunday morning!!! oooooooh Rocco!!!

Ken Robinson says School Kills Creativity...hmm watcha think 'bout it?

I don't know how much I agree with Ken Robinsons philosophy that we are all born artists and grow out of it? I was born with zero artistic ability. I have tried my WHOLE life to be artistic, has yet to happen. I think that it really just all depends on your teachers you have while growing up. Sure, there are the teachers who "teach to the test" however, I have had so many amazing teachers that teach you to think outside of the box. Those teachers have shaped my imagination! Although I have no artistic abilities, I can come up with some pretty great ideas if someone else will just draw them out, which led me to my major, advertising! I think the mind of a child is highly affected by the people who raise them, and their surrounding environment. If your parents have sticks up their ass, you probably will too! If your parents are free spirits who let you chose your own path of life, then you can shape your own imagination! I don't think that it is school that is killing creativity, I think it is just a few crappy teachers and parents who have their kids on a leash (literally and figuratively). This picture I found on Google cracked me up!!! This is EXACTLY where i'm coming from!!!

Ghost storm

So this morning I woke up to my dog about 2 cm from my face breathing extra heavy (which is a for sure indication that he needs to go outside). So I slowly get out of bed and look out the window to see the dark skies in the making of a fantastic storm!!! I got so excited, I even took a picture of it to send to my mom and dad(who live in Dallas)!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE storms!! So I took him out and watched the sky waiting on the first rain to fall on my face....nothing.... So I went back upstairs and went back to bed in hopes that when I woke up my power would be off and the rain would be pounding against my window. A couple hours later I was woken up by the bright sun shining through my window. The storm was just a ghost storm.... sweet.

As soon as I told my best friend Carly about this blog she said "make your first post about your bleeding Jesus picture!" So I took her advice. A long time ago when I was about 4 or 5 I made my Dad this Christmas tree ornament. He made me think it was the most artistic thing he had ever seen (although it seems absolutely demonic) Ever since that Christmas, every year till this day it still hangs on our tree...for all to see... I think that is was the first indication that I would have NO artistic abilities at all for the rest of my life....

All you really need are a few close friends...(and occasionally some alcohol:))
